WELCOME TO THE CEYLON PRESS,
BASED AT KANDY'S FLAME TREE ESTATE;
AND SET UP TO TELL THE STORY OF SRI LANKA.
A small island surrounded by large oceans, Sri Lanka is a mystery to many: remote, hard to place; a well-kept secret.
The Ceylon Press aims to make its complicated story more accessible.
The Companion to Sri Lanka makes visible more of the whole – from its arts, wildlife, & landmarks to its religions, food, & history.
The digital Museum of Sri Lanka aims to unite the island’s artefacts – scattered around the world into a single exhibition.
Its podcast, Poetry from the Jungle presents the work of 80 poets to reset the world’s literary canon.
All these works are now in progress, added to weekly and available free on theceylonpress.com.
New audio and eBook projects panned include a Dictionary of Sri Lankan Phrase & Fable, A History of Sri Lankan Places, Colouring Books, and a 50 book series of Very Short Introductions on everything from the country’s wild places to its favourite dishes.
